Tackling the Challenges of Big Data

This online program surveyed state-of-the-art topics in Big Data, looked at data collection (smartphones, sensors, the Web), data storage and processing (scalable relational databases, Hadoop, Spark, etc.), and extracted structured data from unstructured data, systems issues (exploiting multicore, security), analytics (machine learning, data compression, efficient algorithms), visualization, and a range of applications.
Cybersecurity: Technology, Application and Policy
In partnership with MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), this fast-paced, six-week online course provided a holistic look at cybersecurity technologies, techniques, and systems.
Entrepreneurial Negotiations: The MIT Way
This online program was led by MIT’s renowned negotiation expert, Professor Lawrence Susskind, and was developed by the inter-university Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Participants in the program practiced negotiation skills via simulations, role-plays, case studies, and peer-provided feedback. They emerged with a toolkit of negotiation techniques that will prepare them to join the MIT entrepreneurial success story.
