Ryan Holcomb

Dr. Ryan E. Holcomb is employed as a Principal Scientist for Legacy BioDesign LLC, a contract research organization specializing in the formulation of therapeutic proteins and peptides. He has over ten years of formulation experience in the biotherapeutics field, working as the lead scientist on over two dozen unique formulation projects. These have included development of both liquid and lyophilized formulations for a wide variety of proteins and peptides entering clinical studies. While at a Legacy, he has been a contributing author on several scientific papers, as well as awarded multiple formulation and process patents. Dr. Holcomb received his BS in Chemistry from Oregon State University in 2004 and his PhD in Chemistry from Colorado State University in 2010. He also worked as an industrial postdoctoral researcher with OptiEnz Sensors LLC from 2011-2012, where he was awarded a patent for helping to develop innovative biosensing technologies.
