Pin-Kuang Lai

Assistant Professor, Stevens Institute of Technology

Dr. Pin-Kuang Lai is an assistant professor in the department of chemical engineering and materials science at Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. Lai received his BS and MS in chemical engineering from National Taiwan University in 2011 and 2013 and received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of Minnesota in 2018. His Ph.D. thesis focused on developing computational and experimental approaches to study antimicrobial peptides. After graduation, he worked as a postdoc at MIT to study antibody stability using molecular simulations and machine learning from 2018 to 2021. He has collaborated with several pharmaceutical companies to develop computational tools to predict concentrated antibody aggregation and viscosity. He has published over 15 first-author papers in protein design and engineering.
