MIT Professional Education Launches Collaboration with Global Alumni

EdTech Firm to Support New Offering of Online Course Taught in Spanish

Cambridge, Mass. – MIT Professional Education announced it is launching a collaboration with Spanish-American educational technology company, Global Alumni, to expand its Digital Plus Programs portfolio with an online course taught fully in Spanish.

Global Alumni’s bilingual translators will work with MIT Professional Education to translate the MIT faculty-led course, The Intersection of Leadership and Innovation. The course, which aims to empower technical leaders with self-awareness and creativity to drive innovation in their organizations, will begin on October 9, 2018.

“Through this collaboration, we hope to provide technology professionals in Spanish-speaking markets worldwide access to the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s fast-changing digital economy,” said Bhaskar Pant, Executive Director at MIT Professional Education.

The new online course in Spanish will enable MIT Professional Education to more effectively reach professionals across Spanish speaking world where, according to the international workforce consulting firm Manpower Group, nearly 50% of technology companies are struggling to find candidates with the necessary job skills.

“We are proud to collaborate with an eminent and progressive organization like MIT Professional Education, with whom we share the mission of taking online and blended learning to the next level of excellence. Offering innovative e-learning solutions in Spanish to technical professionals will bring critical knowledge to new frontiers – contributing to positive change and growth in Spanish speaking economies,” said Pablo Rivas, CEO & Founder of Global Alumni.
