The theme this year is The Goldilocks Paradox: Navigating Extremes in Your Digital Strategy. The 2024 theme captures the essence of the challenges CIOs face in the current digital landscape, emphasizing the need for strategic navigation through the extremes of technological innovation and management. The concept of the Goldilocks paradox is used metaphorically to describe the optimal balance businesses must find in their digital transformation strategies — not too minor to be ineffective (too cold), not so aggressive that it causes disruption (too hot), but just right to be impactful and sustainable. Paradoxes to be explored could include Security vs. User Experience, Risk-Taking vs. Risk Aversion, or Cost Reduction vs. Growth.
