Kristala L. Jones Prather
Kristala L. Jones Prather is the Arthur D. Little Professor of Chemical Engineering and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is a leading researcher in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, with her work focusing on the design and assembly of biological pathways for the production of valuable chemicals. Professor Prather is also an investigator in the multi-institutional Synthetic Biology Engineering Research Center (SynBERC), funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
