Wojciech Matusik

Professor Wojciech Matusik is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, where he leads the Computational Fabrication Group. His research interests are in direct digital manufacturing and computer graphics. He holds more than 40 US patents. In 2004, he was named one of the world's top 100 young innovators by MIT's Technology Review Magazine.

These are actual headlines that have appeared in the popular press over the past couple of years. I’m sure they generated plenty of clicks for their publications, but I also doubt these articles did much to educate readers about the true potential of AI. Understanding and effectively leveraging this emerging technology is going to be critical to business success in the coming years, but leaders should watch out for these common misconceptions.
